About Vestec

Vestec’s goal is to commoditize, standardize, and demystify speech recognition through use of unique artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. We believe speech recognition has historically not enjoyed widespread acceptance due to: (a) high cost of speech-enabling products; (b) unavailability of useful turnkey speech applications; and (c) reliance on expensive professional services for sophisticated application development.

We believe recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI) are creating a powerful paradigm shift in speech recognition technologies. Utilization of emerging AI techniques can significantly reduce the cost of speech-enabling products, reduce the time and expense of speech application development and maintenance, as well as increase call-completion and customer satisfaction rates with speech applications.

Vestec was founded by a distinguished group of AI scientists and researchers from Canada’s famed University of Waterloo. Our core team has deep expertise in speech recognition and advanced AI technologies, including fuzzy logic, soft computing, natural language processing, and knowledge representation. We have supplemented the core research team with experienced product, engineering, marketing, and sales personnel.
